GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

The Journal of Indian Knowledge Studies (JIKS) welcomes original, high-quality, and unpublished manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of Indian Knowledge Systems and related interdisciplinary fields. Authors are requested to carefully follow the guidelines below before submitting their manuscripts.

1. Originality of Manuscript

  • Manuscripts must be original and should not have been published or submitted elsewhere.
  • The work must be free from plagiarism and comply with academic integrity standards.
  • Authors are responsible for ensuring the authenticity of their research.

2. Types of Submissions

JIKS accepts:

  • Research Articles
  • Review Articles
  • Case Studies
  • Conceptual Papers
  • Book Reviews
  • Short Communications

3. Manuscript Format

  • The manuscript should be written in clear and academic English or Hindi.
  • Include a title, author details, abstract, keywords, introduction, methodology (if applicable), findings, conclusion, and references.
  • Use a consistent citation and referencing style throughout the manuscript.
  • Tables, figures, and illustrations should be properly numbered and cited.

4. Abstract and Keywords

  • Provide an abstract of approximately 150–250 words.
  • Include 4–6 relevant keywords that reflect the main theme of the study.

5. References

  • All sources cited in the manuscript must be included in the reference list.
  • Authors should ensure the accuracy and completeness of references.

6. Ethical Standards

  • Authors must adhere to publication ethics and avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, and duplicate submission.
  • Proper acknowledgment must be given to all sources and contributors.

7. Peer Review Process

  • All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer-review process.
  • The editorial board reserves the right to accept, reject, or request revisions based on reviewers' recommendations.

8. Copyright and Open Access

  • Authors retain responsibility for the content of their manuscripts.
  • Published articles will be made freely accessible under the journal’s open-access policy.

9. Submission Process

Authors should submit their manuscripts along with all required details and declarations through the journal's submission system or official email as specified by the journal.
