AI POLICY
Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence
The Journal of Indian Knowledge Studies (JIKS) recognizes the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in academic research and scholarly communication. The journal supports the responsible, ethical, and transparent use of AI technologies while maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, originality, and intellectual accountability.
Authors may use AI-assisted tools for language improvement, grammar correction, formatting assistance, or other supportive tasks. However, AI tools must not be listed as authors or co-authors, as they cannot assume responsibility for the accuracy, originality, integrity, or ethical compliance of scholarly work. The ultimate responsibility for the content, interpretation, conclusions, and authenticity of the manuscript remains entirely with the human authors.
Disclosure, Accountability, and Research Integrity
Any substantial use of AI tools in the preparation of a manuscript should be clearly disclosed by the authors in an appropriate section of the submission. Authors must ensure that AI-generated content does not contain plagiarism, fabricated information, inaccurate citations, misleading data, or violations of intellectual property rights.
Journal of Indian Knowledge Studies (JIKS) reserves the right to evaluate manuscripts for the appropriate and ethical use of AI technologies. Manuscripts found to contain undisclosed AI-generated content, fabricated data, manipulated results, or other forms of academic misconduct may be rejected or retracted in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics policies.
Through this policy, Journal of Indian Knowledge Studies (JIKS) aims to promote the responsible integration of emerging technologies in scholarly publishing while preserving academic credibility, research integrity, transparency, and ethical standards within the global research community.
