Agriculture is foundation of the civilization, culture and heritage of nation; it is complex mosaic of distinct agro-systems differentiated by soil, climate, vegetation and other features. Indian drive their livelihood from and agriculture and allied activities, it is older system of world characterized its diversity and heterogeneity. It is unorganized and stressed on account of natural and anthropogenic vagaries from seed to market. The agriculture is crucial for economic growth for 4% gross domestic product (GDP). It take around 12,000 years ago, agriculture triggered like society change and way of people live with its development had dubbed the Neolithic revolution. The origin of rice and millet farming date back to Neolithic period in China, In Mexico squash cultivation began around 10,000 years ago, the maize like plants derived from teosinte appear cultivated at least 9,000 years ago. The sunflower cultivated in North America started to bloom some 5,000 years ago. The potato also grows in Andes region of South America began. Indian agriculture is long, old and beyond memory history which began Indus valley civilization. One of most old water regulate structure in world is grand Anicut dam on river Kaveri. The agriculture system began from 9000 BEC with early cultivation of plants, domestication of animals and crops. The plants and animals consider as essential to their survival by Indians came to worshiped and venerated. The Indian knowledge system is compressive knowledge system of our heritage and demonstrates the Indian way of doing things to world. It is vast and ancient repository of wisdom, practice and knowledge that evolve in India over millennia. It diverse ranges of fields and its relationship with legal system in multifaceted. The system consist knowledge of philosophical tradition like Vedanta, yoga, samkhya, nayana, charvaka, vaisheshika and mimamsa it delve into metaphysics, epistemology, logic and ethics. In science and technology includes astronomy, mathematics, medicine, agriculture, metallurgy, architecture and engineering. In art and culture it consist literature like epics, Vedic literature, classical Sanskrit, music,dance and traditional crafts.
